WHY KLEVABRICK?
The Klevabrick Building System herein after referred to as Klevabrick differs from the traditional brick/block way of building, by bolting adjacent Klevabricks together without the use of mortar.
Klevabrick comprises of 11 specially shaped, steel-reinforced concrete bricks.
Klevabricks are cast in laser-cut steel precision moulds. The de-moulded Klevabricks are then bolted together and fit perfectly without the use of a bricklayer.
The Klevabricks are cast colour through and the exterior walls do not need painting or any maintenance.
There is an option for a flat face exterior Klevabrick suitable for standard plaster & paint.
Specific Klevabricks are cast with 2 x 20mm p.v.c. electrical imbedded conduits.
A 100mm x 100mm electrical box can be cast into a number of Klevabricks.
These can be placed anywhere, an electrical or water point ( 15mm pipe ) is required and will line up with all imbedded conduits.
This removes the need to chase walls.
No government can continually provide free houses (RDP ) for their people. This is confirmed by the policy announcement by Human Settlements to move towards serviced erven.

Klevabricks are made by casting a special 25mpa coloured concrete mix into laser cut steel moulds to ensure dimensional accuracy of 0,25mm.

This is necessary as there is no mortar between adjacent Klevabricks to compensate for any inaccuracy, as is the case with conventional bricks / blocks.

The mould sides come away perpendicularly to ensure there is no abrasion from the concrete face.

If concrete is mixed to design, with the prescribed additives, water, cement ratio and vibrated into a mould, the curing of the concrete then becomes temperate dependent.

The Portland Cement Association has published setting times for concrete that impact the design of the plant.

The result show that at 28-30 degrees C concrete will set in an average of 2.5 hours.

Setting is tested by using a weighted test needle to penetrate the surface of the concrete mix.
